Rules Villanova Prep Game Rules: 1. Please have a separate journal for each character. Additionally you should have an AIM username specific to Villanova in some way. You do not have to have one name for every character you have, but you are more than welcome to make one for each character if you so chose. 2. Please try to be on AIM at least once every two weeks to role play with other players and update your character journals at least once every three weeks. We would like for this place to be active, but we understand real life comes before games.
3. Please keep your AIM logs and post them to the logs community, villanovalogs so that everybody can be kept up to date as to what’s going on with your characters. AIM logs should be placed behind a cut, and all posts to the log community, be it AIM or threads, should have the appropriate headers:
4. Please post an introductory post for your characters (One post per character) to villanovaintros upon acceptance to the community. 5. Please use villanovaoocto keep game members up to date on if you’re going to be unreachable for a period of time that is unusual for you, or to let us know if you need a hiatus, etc. Similarly, villanovasls is there for you to get together with other members and plot storylines for your characters. 6. Although this is a high school setting, because maturity is needed to deal with some situations and storylines, we ask that anyone applying to the game be at least 16 years of age. Additionally, any situation teenagers may find themselves in… sexuality, sexual abuse, eating disorders, etc, is acceptable, however, no boarding school will allow a pregnant student to remain if they intend to carry the baby. 7. There is a limit of 5 characters per player. There is an option of a 6th if a given player can keep 5 characters current for 3 months. Characters must be at least 13 and in Grade 8. Of course higher grades and staff characters are welcome. 8. Under no circumstances is flaming allowed. If you have a dispute or issue with another player, come to the mods and we’ll work with you to find a way to resolve that privately. Do not, for example, leave anonymous comments complaining about something in character journals or IM a player attacking them personally. If you do and we find out about it, you will be out, period. Furthermore, do not control another player’s character without permission for any reason. Villanova Preparatory School Rules: 1. This includes disruption in class, or on school grounds, physical or verbal bullying, or harassment, or any other form of disruptive anti-social behaviour. Additionally, cheating on examinations or plagiarizing assignments or parts of them is not tolerated and grounds for expulsion. A final decision for dismissal rests with the Head of School. Students are assigned two to a room with the exception of Grade 12's, prefects or house captains who have the option of a private room. No students of the opposite sex are allowed into the other’s dorms, with the exception of family after curfew, which varies by grade. Dedicated residential staff ensures the smooth and safe running of the residences and are directly responsible to the Director of Residential Life for the welfare of the students. The "on-duty" staff member is always listed on the board in the entrance to the house office and carries a cell phone so that he or she may be located quickly in an emergency. 6. Computer labs are available for use with full internet access as well as access to a web cam and printers to help keep in touch with home.
